ma-co maritimes competenzcentrum GmbH is the training provider for German seaports and port-related logistics companies. In addition, ma-co offers training courses in the maritime and offshore sectors, as well as in the fields of leadership, IT, dangerous goods & customs and IT.

ma-co has been on the market for 50 years and is represented at four locations – in Hamburg, Bremen, Bremerhaven and Wilhelmshaven – and ensures the further qualification development of its employees.

New skilled workers also receive basic training at ma-co. ma-co has 25 of its own training rooms and 3 practice areas for practical training. In addition, ma-co operates a digital training centre for the remote control of handling equipment, among other things.

The ma-co committees are equally represented by the social partners with the employers’ associations of the ports and the trade union ver.di. Through co-operation with companies in the transport and logistics industry as well as important authorities, innovations and practical knowledge are constantly incorporated into the training courses.
